What Every Mother Wants to Hear
Upon awakening Saturday morning Clara Jane said, "I had a dream last night. I dreamt I was playing guitar."
Just as long as it wasn't for some crappy emo band, more power to you, Kiddo.

When Bean was Clara Jane's age, she would wake up from her nap every day and tell me that she dreamt she had a red guitar. I finally found a Fisher Price one that played guitar and violin. Very successful gift on Santa's part. She still loves it.

I just love it.

Liz, Clara Jane's getting that same guitar/violin combo for Christmas from my parents. Glad to hear it's got the Bean Stamp of Approval.

oh, that is waaaayyyy too cool!!!
can you explain this emo thing to me, though? i just recently heard of it. is it a genre? what does it mean? any examples?

Emo explaination right here. I'd explain it myself, but I'm afraid it would be limited to me screaming, "It sucks! Change it! Change it!". Although Jimmy Eat World had one good album. Bright Eyes is good, too, and I think you'd like him. He transcends genre, though.
It's the most recent form of music preferred by sad, affluent white kids.
